Good Points
Doesn't damage paintwork.
Bad Points
Cumbersome, bulky, harder to store or transport than a single bar.
General Comments
I want the best of both worlds - in the 1980s I saw a telescopic single bar, easy to store and transport, which fitted a doorway without the irritating screws and brackets. It simply jammed tight into a doorway by screwing out until the rubber pads gripped each side through friction alone.
Saw it used for a whole year, rock solid, totally safe if tight enough.

This is all very well, but if you are over a certain height you need the bar to be higher and further from the frame for it to be effective.
