Canon A1 Review

Good Points
All modes of program, period.
Versile shutter speed control.
Manual focus with great quality lenses.
Nice digital read out in the viewfinder.

Bad Points
Shutter Squeak, does not effect camera operation in most cases.

The digital readout takes some getting used to in manual mode, where a meter is more friendly. But manual photography is an art all it's own and after a while you become better than any meter anyway.

General Comments
Best over-all full mode 35 mm camera. Cameras like the F-1 are superior in quality construction, but not in features. In any case, after nearly 30 years, the A-1 speaks for itself.
