General Comments
My husband and I visited Africa for the first time in August this year for our honeymoon. We were apprehensive at first, not knowing what to expect. We decided to go with Aim 4 Africa - a relatively new company based in UK but who have strong links in Kenya and Tanzania. They came well recommended by people who had been previously. We visited Maasai Mara, Samburu, Selous, Ruaha and Saadani over three weeks. Although we spent a minimum of 3 nights at each, we wished we could have stayed longer. The itinerary was perfect, our accommodations (tented camps in most parts) were superb and we will definitely want to go back again when we have saved enough! Saadani was a magnificent place to end our stay - the combination of safari and beach was superb. Aim 4 Africa is one of the only companies we have seen that organize tours to this place, it was not crowded (as we understand Zanzibar tends to be). Our guides in all the parks we visited were incredible, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We got to see the big 5, the migration and a lot of birds, trees and insects (yes, even the little things that people often pass undetected). We did a walking safari, a couple of boat safaris, ballooning and night drive. We also got to visit a few villages as part of a cultural program - good to see how much positive development is going into helping local communities thrive.
So, for us, East Africa is the place we would certainly recommend and the company we chose to book with exceeded our expectations from the very initial planning stages.
