Good Points
The Shape, the sound, the feel, ease to change pickups, ease to replace strings.

Bad Points
No locking nut, no vibrator (WAmmy bar).

General Comments
I think the Gibson Explorer is the best guitar in the world, first to the Flying V, first to Ibanez, first to everything. It got great tonal and distortion options, it's cheaper than most professional guitars and it looks awesome, who wouldn't want to love a guitar that looks as if it were created on the moon?
