Laura's review of Mac 12 Lash

“I decided to buy the Mac 12 Lash for a special night...”

Good Points
Dramatic, glamorous, they did wonders for my eyes!

Bad Points
Can be tricky to apply but that goes for all false lashes. I had to cut them down to size which was also a bit fiddly as I didn't want to ruin the shape.

General Comments
I decided to buy the Mac 12 Lash for a special night out. After using the 4 lash previously I was feeling a little more daring!

The 12 Lash are dramatic and wispy but still manage to look natural. They are so glamorous as they have a winged edge and made my eyes look wide and bright. I think these are one of the most dramatic pairs of false eyelashes available from Mac and after I've had my 5 or so wears out of them I will definitely be buying some more!

I purchased these at SeIfridges and I thought the price was OK at £7.50 as I felt they were good quality and they are handmade. The only thing I would say is that the Duo adhesive, if you choose to purchase this also, is £7.50 so it can end up being quite an expensive purchase. The glue will probably last a very long time though as it is a big tube.

This time I applied my lashes by putting some adhesive on an ear bud, applying to the lashes and then putting my lashes on the eyelid using tweezers. This way was so much easier than using my fingers! I had to cut the eyelashes down to size which was tricky as I didn't want to ruin the really nice shape they have. I snipped a little from the inside before applying so as not to ruin the winged effect.

All in all, I think the Mac 12 Lash are great value for money. They were a great accessory to my outfit and complemented my makeup beautifully. Although I wasn't able to apply eyeliner to the top lids due to the lashes coming unstuck, I didn't think it was needed as the lashes looked dramatic enough and I wanted them to look as natural as possible. I must say though, I have naturally long lashes anyway so I'm not sure if they would seem a little too much on someone with smaller eyes or shorter lashes. I would definitely use them again though as I felt glamorous all night!

Just an update to my review - These are fine to wear eyeliner with, which is useful for disguising the join to the lash line. I think I only had problems with them coming unstuck the first time I used them because I had adjusted the position a few times. I have worn them again since and now don't go on a big night out without them!
