Good Points
visuals are great, great instructions and very precise instructions. travelled in italy with it and made round abouts easy to navigate, exits and lanes to take are clear when in big cities
Bad Points
battery life is limited unless you change to night mode and reduce sound. often says "bear" left and then the exit you need is on the right, had this happen 3 times in italy and it was confusing
General Comments
We purchaced the TomTom Go 930 with sole purpose of driving on our recent trip to Italy. It made driving in Rome easy, not sure what I would have done without it. It gave me the option of taking or not taking toll roads. In Italy, take the toll roads. Usually accurate in speed zones. The EPT works like a charm in long tunnels. It usually gives instructions on what to do at about 1.5 km out and the final instructions at 400m. Travelling at a high speed just do it. It would often say take exit number and road to take. Italy, unlike Canada or the USA, does not seem to indicate road information well. Just exit and trust the gps, you may not see the road signs until you exit and are on the road. I missed the exit a couple of times and it immediately recalculated the route and got me on track quickly, if it cannot, it will say turnaround at the first opportunity. In rare cases the instructions are hard to follow and glancing at the gps while driving is hard especially in Italian traffic. I blame this in part to the Italian roads which are very confusing at times. We left Rome for Siena and programmed in our hotel, took me right to the front door, awesome. Over all this was a life saver in Italy. The built in maps were very accutate. Overall, very pleased with the 930.
