Clinique Gentle Waterproof Mascara Review

Good Points
Doesn't run, so in that sense it is waterproof. This is important for people who wear contacts or have allergy attacks that cause eyes to tear up frequently, so you can't afford to have mascara that runs into your eyes and aggravates everything. It does appear gentle because I don't lose a lot of eyelashes putting it on or taking it off.

Bad Points
I find it's time consuming to apply. I have to apply one coat, let it dry a little, then apply another and another until there's enough there to extend/enhance my eyelashes. If I want a more dramatic look, I find I have to apply my non-waterproof mascara over this in order to extend and thicken my lashes. If you go swimming, don't rely on it staying put. It came off pretty fast.

General Comments
Clinique Gentle Waterproof Mascara is worth purchasing if (a) you can get it for a discount (I purchased at the airport for $12 I think), (b) you need a no-run base mascara to avoid getting mascara in your eyes and aggravating already irritated eyes if you have allergies or wear contacts, (c) you need something gentle on your eyelashes that doesn't yank out all your eyelashes when you try to remove it.
