Good Points
Cheap, 4GB storage for £25.
Bad Points
Background noise whenever switched on, which is noticeable during playback at low volume or during quiet moments in a song.
General Comments
This MP3 player seems to be Tesco brand name and in this case at £25 pounds it is true you get what you pay for.
The amount of storage on the device is great, although I use 192Kbps bit rate which allows for just under 600 songs, which is half the 1200 tracks claimed on the packaging.
There is a background noise (I assume interference from the electronics on the circuit board of the device) that can be heard through the earphones whenever the device is switched on (even if music is not being played). This can really interfere with the enjoyment of the music at times, although the higher the volume music is played at, the less noticeable the noise.
I would only recommend this device to someone if they play their music at high volume (I don't listen at high volumes for myself) or if the more "cool" iPods and Sony's of this world are out of budget range.
I was shopping on a budget so I am not completely disappointed at this purchase.
