Bad Points
Would probably go for a Canvas awning - the PVC ones are very heavy - Canvas will go up with only 1 person if needed.

General Comments
Used a 5 birth Dandy trailer tent for the last 3 years, bought on EBay, old I think 1980 - absolutely superb - cover leaks a bit, so had it standing through the winter in the garden - still dry as a bone inside - easy to put up.
Not a lot else to say - they hold their value - light weight, easy to tow - lots of storage.

There are probably some waterproofing products you can use on the Dandy. Fabsil may do some, or Nikwax. When my grandparents retired (years ago now) they bought a Dandy and periodically re-proofed the canvas. Just make sure you get one which leaves a breathable finish...!
