Battery life, hands free voice dialling. No data cable with phone
General Comments
I've been given the Nokia 6300 as an upgrade from the Nokia 6320i and I'm really disappointed. Funnily enough I actually use this as a phone for business, a point that has been overlooked by Nokia in their attempt to make it appeal to texters and those that take meaningless pictures all the time.
The most annoying thing about the 6300 is the voice dialling which worked perfectly well on my original Nokia using my own voice to confirm the name. On the 6300 every contact is automatically given electronically generated voice dialling which sounds like Stephen Hawking. This either doesn't recognise the name or dials the wrong number which makes it useless for in the car.
Other people in our office had Ericson phones which came with data cable unlike the 6300 which uses a different cable to my previous 6320i meaning more expense. The Bluetooth works well but drains the battery even faster which means that I cannot use the phone for a full working day without charging it up.
The result of all this is I've put the 6300 back in its box and I 'm using my old 6320i
Come on Nokia get a grip!!!
