Good Points
Siemens SL45 is good looking -nice silver with orange screen
Excellent Memory, Excellent Features.

Bad Points
SL45 is very slow. Too often the 'please wait screen' appears and is displayed for too long.
Battery life is poor.

General Comments
Features are excellent as one will know from looking at the spec of this Siemens mobile phone.

Looks are excellent too.

The main point i wish to put accross is for those who use text messaging a lot. It is a very slow process to write / send / store / read text messages.

eg -when receiving a text message, or when opening the inbox you will have to wait a good 5 seconds before the SL45 can be shown. there will be a 'please wait' screen which comes up for too often and for far too long.

-when storing a message you much save it to the archive, because the inbox can only hold 10 messages. Storing messages again means looking at that please wait screen for a few seconds before the message must be named and then stored.

This becomes really frustrating when you use text messages a lot, especially if you are used to using a nokia (which is MUCH faster).

Also, writing text messages on a Siemens SL45 mobile can be annoying if you are used to typing very fast on the keys. you must type relatively slowly for each letter to be recognised. Again, those who text a lot on Nokia will be frustrated when they find they have to type much slower for the Siemens to recognise what you are writing.

For these reasons i have actually sold my Siemens SL45 and bought a Nokia 8310. I am much happier with this phone, as it can store 150 text messages (a great improvement on the 8210 which only stores 10 inbox).

Although the Nokia 8310 has less features than the Siemens SL45, i am much happier with it as i can now text as much as i want, as fast as i want, when i want.

BUT........ for those who do not use text messaging much, i would actually rate the Siemens SL45 highly, because i cannot fault it in any other way.
