Good Points
Opening track 'Better'
Great riffs
Improvement in Axel's vocals
Bad Points
A little weird even for Axel's standards
Heavy use of samples, to decent effect, but perhaps a little too frequent
And it's still a great shame that Slash is not present
General Comments
Plenty of great heavy riffs and Axel's singing is surprisingly good, obviously thanks in part to the production, as anyone who has seen G & R live recently will confirm. His voice sounds great here though, lots of power and assurance. Chinese Democracy will take you back to the days of Use Your Illusion, if not Appetite for Destruction.
