Good Points
Well written and researched articles; respected by fashion gurus and politically informed alike
Bad Points
Lacking social responsibility; articles are often over zelous in diction (possibly to appear knowledgable in subject matter)
General Comments
GQ is a magazine read by the average man. In many beneficial ways the mag can provide for the uninformed or underinformed politically and socially. GQ lacks in social responsibility for the average man. Articles on how to dress and what to wear (not simply informative but promoting mind you) makes the average reader believe that 2000 dollar PRADA suits are the norm for the average gentleman. Moreover, many of the fashion articles go over the top on featured items (vertu phone costing 5000 that was barely pictured but mentioned as such)most likely to enhance the perception of sophistication. These areas dwindle the credibility of the magazine that even reaches to political views and satires whose credibility should not be challenged simply for association.
