Good Points
Comfortable, torquey, reasonable handling, naked tourer. Capable of relaxed motorway/A-road blasting and, with those lovely brakes, reassured fun on the B roads.
Bad Points
Yes, a wee bit more oomph wouldn't go amiss but to be honest, that's nit picking as it's not meant to be that sort of bike.
I changed the mirrors for some that provided a rearward view!
General Comments
I traded in a Ducati ST4 to get my Yamaha Bulldog and I've never regretted it. The Yamaha has comfort and poise a plenty, while having enough poke to make life interesting.
My best trip so far was going to a school reunion in the Scottish Highlands, via the scenic route - up through Glen Shea and over the twisty mountain roads, to emerge elated and in one piece at Granton-on-Spey. The same route, done on the Ducati the previous year was an utter nightmare.
I've had it for 5 years now and my Bulldog's for keeps.
