Good Points
Small, light weight and durable. Excellent sound quality and wide dispersion. The Panary controller (which you must use with 802's) works well but has very limited user options.
Bad Points
Quality control is poor since manufacturing was moved away from the states. Low efficiency and low maximum SPL when compared to competitors products. Basically a revamped 30 year old design.
Over priced for what is effectively eight tiny drivers and a plastic box.
General Comments
Used in the right context Bose 802's work very well and provide excellent vocal reproduction. Unlikely to ever blow your socks off, they generate moderate SPL's more suited to corporate events, small bars etc. They are certainly not the answer to everyones requirements and there are similarly specified boxes out there for much less money. Add to that the cost of the obligatory controller and they may not be cost effective. Overall, they are very decent units though you are definitely paying a premium for the Bose name.
