Good Points
Superb seats, nice drive for a MPV, trustworthy and bulletproof.

Bad Points
Can get really hot in the back!

General Comments
In 2003 my wifes father passed on and had only 2 weeks before, bought an imported Lucida. As a result it was passed on to myself.
I've had it ever since, itss a 1992 2.2 TDI and I adore it.
It's very forgiving with its handling, powerful and can return 35mpg without issue. Passed the first 2 MOTs without any work needing to be done at all, since then I've only had to replace the starter motor at £129.99 including fitting and a few bulbs.
The space is wonderful and the seats are nice and comfortable as I work all over the country I'm very pleased about this! Only niggles are, it eats rear tyres but that's because of me loading it up to the hilt every week. The heat in the back I have been warned with the aircon off is pretty rough in the sun and the fact I have to have it serviced every 5,500 miles.
All in all I can honestly say its the best car I've had. When I got it, it had 22,000 miles and now it had 285,000 and still going strong. If you're looking for a good family workhorse this is it!

And for everyone who's concerned about the Lucida being a grey import don't panic. When I went to my local Toyota dealer for a service the manager asked me to leave. I've found over the last few years there are many specialists all over the country who know everything there is to know about these cars and can always help you with parts and work and 99% are amazing in my experience.
