Good Points
Takes as good a still picture as Canon A200 [excellent] in very bright conditions, not bad with flash, takes movies with sound up to 70+ sec on internal memory. That it can replace the Canon is a good recommendation.

Bad Points
Close focus is about 8 inches, not much good at macro.Support and software is..vexatious..the software does work manual is mangled English. Bad photo quality in less that full daylight conditions. Have not managed to get VCR recording though TV out, although this may be my fault.

General Comments
The Kobian Mercury Classic Cam 4 in 1is a very good budget camera, now going out of production. It's under £70 in the UK.

Very good bright/daylight use 9 out of 10.

Moderate light 7/10.

Flash adequate.

Manual just comprehensible.

Not at all bad and very good for the price, however there is no way of knowing EXACTLY when the "shutter" is triggered unless you're using the flash and there is a 1 or 2 sec delay between pressing the button and taking the shot, some digital cameras are better here. Not for stills buffs, this is a jack of all trades.

I like the colour video with sound feature which makes adequate 320*240 "DV" through Virtual-DUb.
