Good Points
Very easy to set up. Easy to log on to etc. I am not very clever with computers so it's important that it's simple. Range is (generally) better than my old D-Link Access point. Does reach across about 40m into one of our buildings (but doesn't do very well in another closer building in a dip). Seems very stable.

Bad Points
I spent the extra money to get the extra range. Although it is generally better than my old access point, it doesn't extend across my site as well as I'd hoped. In fact, when placed where my old access point was, the signal to one of my PCs had reduced to very low from low/very low, but it still worked reasonably reliably. So although it's better than what I had before, it depends on the sitting and I will probably have to buy a repeater anyway. So maybe I could have bought something cheaper, and used the change to buy the repeater?
My techie guy seems to think it's OK but noted that it doesn't actually list all IP Addresses of everything on the network. It didn't list the PC we were accessing it from when we asked it what was connected to it! Apparently lots of them don't do this properly though.

General Comments
Wireless networking seems to be one of those very nebulous areas. To cover my garage and another building - both within 40m of my house - is not simple. If you ask experts, they come up with very expensive and complicated setups. Then you come across the N stuff which looks like it should do the job. It will only partly do the job if I site it in my daughter's bedroom on the top of her bookcase! But then it does work in a quarter of one of the buildings and works well in the second building. I admit it is not simple since we have all buildings on different levels and there's quite a lot of brick around. Siting in the lowest building in the middle of the site doesn't give me reliable connections in the house. More work to do. I'll try to keep you posted. (don't buy a big aerial - they don't seem to help - see my antenna review which I'm about to do...)
