Good Points
Excellent grunt at all speeds. Good riding style. Good handling at high speeds, but could be improved by 17" rims all round. Great for pillion on long hauls. Low maintenence.
Bad Points
Heavy on fuel, but in the process of checking reason. Problematic second gear, but can be modified to eliminate problem of jumping out or slipping. Braking hard while riding hard could be scary if in a tight spot. Braking the FJ 1200 in a corner takes a good anticipation of the road, good experience and knowledge of the bike and its capabilities. Straight line riding is nevertheless a dream.
General Comments
Presently getting 12km/l. I am in the process of checking all aspects to find the reason for this as I have had the bike for a few months. To be honest . . . . the ride, comfort, handling and enjoyment of the motorcycle overrides the fuel consumption.
