Good Points
All in wonder of a copier/fax/telephone/printer. Small footprint on your desktop. Printer can use an optional colour print head for full colour prints (not bad quality - but not good enough for photo printing).
Bad Points
Cannot scan to PCCost of compatible printheads from BT in excess of £30.00 per cartridge. And when olivetti JP12 B&W heads retail at £4.50 and work perfectly - this is a bit steep). Noise levels when printing are annoying in a low noise environment. The printer driver is poor... Lousy install routines would usually crash my PC before it would setup correctly on my (WinMe/Win98SE2). Even at it's best speed, this printer is slow.
General Comments
When i bought the BT Paperjet 55 I was impressed but a few years down the road, it is dated with slow print speeds and poor paper handling. Windows XP will just about run this device, but doesn't like it too much (usually refuses to "talk" to the printer and crashes the print job.) I have one of these still in use but have relegated it to a standby device for low grade printouts.
