In December it will have been a year since I had Sky installed and I can say now that I am not regretting that decision at all.

My mum (after a lot of encouraging) opted to finally sign up to Sky TV and leave behind her days of Freeview TV. My mum was always convinced that Sky was too much money and a waste. However after finally convincing her, we signed up for the £15 month package (2 mixes) (and signing up for it had nothing to do with me being a mega LOST fan and Sky having just acquired the rights).

Anyway we signed up and booked our installation. I was worried after hearing a lot of people complaining about the problems they had with installation. However my mum said it all went fine, with the man turning up on time and doing an efficient job. There was one problem due to some ridiculously high trees in my neighbour's garden, but that was all overcome and we were left with a working Sky Box.

We've had no problem since. In June we took Sky up on their offer for Sky Movies for 3 months for £1. We were told it would take 2-3 hours to start, however it took less than half an hour. When my mum called up today to cancel as our offer came to an end, we got through to customer services quickly and the guy dealt with it. However it seems my mum may have loved the movie deal too much as she said she would cancel on Sunday and is now considering keeping it.

Also today, I used the My Sky section of their website to get the Kids Mix (and this had nothing to do with the premi re of HSM2). Five minutes after I updated our billing, I had the channels.



Overall, Sky has been nothing short of fantastic. The channel ranges are great and it's definitely worth the money. I'm so glad I convinced my mum to finally enter the technological age, and you never know we may be getting Sky+ next! :D
