Good Points
Its a car you can drive like miss daisy and go about daily business, and then soon as the secondaries kick in, you feel like your in a toned down touring car! Fantastic to drive cross country, effortlessly overtakes, always, always turns heads with its vibrant colour combined with that kit.
It feels sporty and class inside the cabin.Everything works, and despite the harder suspension, you don't actually feel remotely punished for driving a toned setup of a car compared to some.

Bad Points
It drinks like any V6 would. There is a ticking noise many many develop and its always mis diagnosed as a manifold gasket when in fact its a head gasket issue! But don't let that scare you. It's a front head bank gasket design flaw that means a small amount of gas seeps on compression and results in a tiny tick sound.
Everyone I've asked who has had this tick, has happily reported many more years of driving with no issues at all.

Some of the parts are pricey. The lower arms are shockingly priced for supply and /or fit. That lovely twin exhaust is getting tired on original examples showing 7/8 years of age, and expect a bill from Ford unless you choose an aftermarket system.
The brakes aren't great either but then show me a ford that doesn't need better ones over standard.

General Comments
Theres no doubt Ford actually got it bang on with the Ford Mondeo ST200. It has enough oomph, it has enough road presence without ever looking lairy or alternatively, faceless. It corners so well you have to check your still in a ton and a half of Mondeo.

It's smooth and refined but then barks a lovely V6 roar at you once you put your toe down.

I've had mine 6 months and I adore it. Its quicker and better built than its Vauxhall competition around this era.

And thats not a biased Ford owner talking either.

Everyone bar none, nods there head in approval of this marque. I've never heard anyone say they didn't like it for any reason.I almost sense a few are ashamed to admit they love a Mondeo! But everyone certainly loves these.
