Good Points
The restaurant bar has been refurbished, and it is a great improvement over the previous "sitting room" decor. The staff are attractive girls from Poland - which is pleasantly distracting for the male diners. The menu is interesting, and reasonably priced. The two real ales, Bombardier and Spitfire, are well-kept. The red wine which we drank was enjoyable, and not expensive.
Bad Points
I cannot think of any!
General Comments
The Boat Inn in Whitney-On-Wye has always had a good reputation, and it is still to be recommended. Those customers who enjoy steak should realise that Continental practice is followed, in that it is cooked more rarely than the average British restaurant.

I found this review helpful because... we are canoeing down the Wye on Saturday and want somewhere to land for a glass of wine and a good ale.
