General Comments
I was 18 at the time, and insurance is still quite high, so I decided to look around, and I was surprised to find a cheap quote with them, They had a 10 month bonus accelerator, so that was a bonus! I'd get my 1 years no claims in 10 months time, providing I don't have a claim against me. Half way through the year, somebody collided into the rear of my car, and so I had to put forward a claim. The customer service lacked skills, as they never communicated with each other. I literally had to ring Diamond Car Insurance up every other day to chase up with my claim. I would speak to one person and the other person would tell me another thing. If I asked to speak to the same person, they were either busy or having a day off, so I have to keep repeating myself to explain my situation before I can continue, and you would think that notes on their system is what it's for. I didn't use their approved garage because they were absolutely useless. You are better off going to your own local trusted garage, as by law, you have the right to choose your own repairer.
Diamond car insurance are not too bad, but it just depends if you want a cheap quote or quality customer service, and if you are patient enough to do all the chasing. Certainly for young drivers for now this would be the cheapest option. Also, I rang them up about 6 months into the policy, as somebody opened their door and put a very tiny pencil dot dent into my passenger door, and I was furious of course, so I rang Diamond (stupid of me), and they said they have to record that down as being an incident. I was not happy about that, as that incident, although it is not a claim or damage, and although I am not at fault, it still goes against me with certain insurance companies.
If you have the money, I would certainly go for somebody else, but if you are on a budget, then Diamond car insurance could be an option,
