Postman Postcard

I love this Postman Postcard application, it's exactly the sort of application a mobile phone was invented for. In a nutshell it's an application (I think I paid 59p for it on the iTunes store), which allows you to create and send HTML postcards to people via your mobile either via email or direct to Twitter, Facebook or Tumblr.

It's really easy to use. Basically there are a number of templates to choose from; old skool, retro, vintage, modern, beach, city etc. You choose and theme and write your message on the back of the postcard. For the front you can upload an image from your phone, take a picture with the phone's camera to use, tag your location using GPS or choose from a library of famous monuments.

Once you've have the front and back complete you just send it using either your friends emails or your Facebook/Twitter account details.

It's is fantastic that it is so well integrated with the phone's features such as the camera, GPS and contact book and if you're like me and can't be bothered with the fuss of buying postcards and dealing with post offices this is a great alternative.

Not using airmail or paper also saves on your carbon footprint!
