Maltese Review

Good Points
Snickers was given to us free at a pet store, of all places. He was purchased and returned to the store, and I don't think he was cared for very well because he looked malnutritioned and scraggly. The owner must have REALLY felt bad for him; enough to give away such an expensive breed. He has been one of the best things that's happened to me! I never thought I could like little dogs, but this little rascal brings so much joy. He is playful, obedient as a mofo, and can take himself out. He learns quickly, makes funny noises when you rub his belly, and likes to sleep on his back. He's a lover to the fullest extreme, and he loves to lie right next to a warm body. He is friendly with everybody, and not shy at all. Even if we paid the retail price of over $1200 or so, as opposed to being free, he would still be worth every cent.

Bad Points
It took a little training to get him used to being home alone. Before he got comfortable knowing that we would eventually return, he would mess on the ground and lick his paws to the point where he was getting bald spots on them. But he is fine being alone now. He is also very jealous. There is another mini Schnauzer in the house named Pookie, and Snickers often gets jealous if I give any attention to Pookie. But, I can't help but laugh at Snickers, as he tries to get my attention by hopping and dancing around on his back paws like a little circus monkey.

General Comments
My Maltese is an absolutely wonderful dog! I am not sure if all Maltese's have Snickers personality and adorable face, but if so...everyone in the world should have a Maltese. It would make the world a brighter place.



PS: as a man's man, I feel a little embarrassed writing such a wussy review. but my little dog reduces me down me into a giddy Little school girl when I get home from work and see him (but don't tell my friends I said that).
