Google Maps for mobile featuring Latitude

Very basic and not very accurate.

More convenience than anything I say.

Google maps is a low end mapping service compared to someone like viamichelin or bing.

Out of all the apps I have downloaded onto my phone, I probably use Google Maps the most. I often load it up to check my location, or particularly if I'm a bit lost, I can find out exactly where I am, or where I need to be.

Included with Google Maps is a really cool feature called Latitude. With Latitude, you can create your own friend list, and share your location with your friends. For example, if I was to load up Google maps, I can switch on Latitude and instantly see where my friends are on the map. I can also plan the quickest route to their destination etc.

This is a really cool app. Some people may not like the idea of sharing their location with other people, but you can simply edit your privacy options and hide your location from anyone you choose on your friends list. Or simply not share with anyone.

I'd recommend downloading this app. It's free, it can be useful, and it's certainly a lot of fun!
