Okay - I Bit The Bullet And Bought A Leica D-lux 4
Okay - I bit the bullet and bought a Leica d-lux 4, which according to some reviews is a re-badged Panasonic Lumix camera. Nevertheless, Leica quality had a certain appeal, and I'm not disappointed so far.
Likes: build quality, features and intuitive menu system. Superb lens and image quality.
Dislikes: price. The leather case doesn't work if you buy the optional carry handle, and even if you don,t the supplied neck strap won't fit in the case - so, poor design here and costly extras that don't work together.
Bottom Line: a vastly superior compact camera that really does ooze quality. It comes at a price - but you get what you pay for.
