Vax VZL-6011

problem after problem smoke belts braking 4 so far and only had it 3 months emailed vax semd one set of free belts which have since broke. will never buy a vax product again

i bought the vax mach 1 model 6011 upright in january 2009 i had no problems for the 1st few months then as i was vaccing one day i made this almighty roar and smoke was coming out of it and smelt like burning rubber so i switched it off opened the machine and the belt had slipped off slicing through all the plastic inside the vac but the belt was ok so i put it back in place and sealed it all back up and carried on vaccin but the same thing kept happening so i rang the vax hotline who didn't seem to care but agreed to collect the machine for repair as it was only 4 months old within 2 days of sending it away it was back with a little ticket sayin base modified so i plug it and again a almighty roar and nothing so i ring vax again wanting my £120 back i paid they were reluctant to pay back anything and was passing the phone back and forth to different advisors so finally i took it back to the shop i bought it from and they happily give me my money back and told me every single one they have sold has been returned within 6 months
