Bad Points
The DVD has a low bit rate Dolby track, a DTS track would have been nice. Also not many extras on the DVD.

General Comments
Inventive, intelligent story about "first contact." It takes a different route to the subject than Independence Day or War of the Worlds, offering no answers but raising questions about faith, science and religion. This movie also features possibly the best use of CGI ever: you can't see where the join is and it adds to the story without overblowing it.


If you want flashy visuals and simple storylines go for the movies mentioned above; if you want something altogether more absorbing and assured go for this.
