Woodster1971's review of Jaguar X Type 2.0 Diesel

“All in all an excellent car indeed. British through...”

★★★★☆

Good Points
An excellent car all round. Excellent interior and spec. If possible go for the highest spec Sovereign if you can. The 2.2 D is an amazing engine, on the Autobahn often get over 40 mpg, but you'll have to be very very careful to get anywhere near 47 mpg as stated in the book. Also a very practical day-to-day car. Out of the 23 cars I have now owned this is my favourite car to date.

Bad Points
Rear leg and head room not large enough. Not a massive problem unless you have to sit there. Only one thing has gone wrong so far which was a puncture, couldn't be helped! Replacement cost me over £100. Performance car with prices to match.

General Comments
All in all an excellent car indeed. British through and through. The styling is a matter of taste - you'll either love it or hate it. It has a classic look which I love.
