Road Angel Navigator Review

Good Points
Good integration of Speed camera sites & navigation system.... & Price... but it's built to a price
You must upgrade to v2, then it becomes usable

Bad Points
Low res screen in comparison with others
Reliability; on my second after the screen / stylus function became inaccurate
Released before it was ready for the market... very poor software, slow & the map is unusable in v1.
V2 improved things, but it isn't mentioned on their web site, you have to "find out" about it & ask!
Hopeless help desk, just want to get you off the phone... "I'll send an upgraded card... NO its the screen that's faulty!"

General Comments
I got a sorted, working unit despite RA & their un-helpful desk. Reliability does appear to be an issue looking at other car forums, which is a shame as the concept is good. In one of my many conversations with RA they reminded me it was a "budget unit"... which as other systems have come down in price is no longer an excuse.

In summary, make sure your unit "mechanically works", give the software time to work between functions... zzz... & v2 sd card upgrade is a must!!!

& yes... after all my moans I would still recommend it. I could have got my money back, but I do like the unit & its concept... I just wanted it to work!
