Molton Brown Review

Good Points
The shop looks beautiful inside - very warm colours that makes you feel comfortable when buying, and it makes you feel like you are getting what you should for the price you are paying.

Branding looks very smart. The appearance of all the products looks beautiful, with a lot of detail.

Bad Points
I have bought a lot of different bath and shower gels over the years, most of them being right at the top of the sales, with the best that are out there. I recently thought I would try Molton Brown, since I haven't used any myself before. I have just bought other people gift sets, and obviously it's quite a big shop these days, so it was about time I did. I paid around £40 just for some bath and shower gel, and thought "wow, I bet this is going to be good". I got home and tried it, and it was useless. It didn't smell nice or strong. To be honest, it didn't smell at all. There wasn't much in the bottle for the price. I got out of the bath and my skin didn't feel exceptionally nice. To be honest it felt normal. I read the back of the bottle again to see if I had done something wrong, and there was nothing there - no instructions or anything. Not that you normally need it with shower gel, but I was confused. I think the Sanctuary stuff, or even Lush are so much better. They are cheaper, and they make you feel fresh and smooth, which is everything you should want with a product at that price.

General Comments
The staff at Molton Brown are probably the most unhelpful I have ever encountered anywhere. I went to the one in Selfridges in Manchester. They looked everyone up and down that walked into their section, as though they hadn't got enough money to pay for it. This really annoys me! I was unsure which one to buy since there was a lot of choice, so I picked a couple up and looked over for help, but they just ignored me and carried on talking. I finally got their attention and chose a product, but they weren't much help.



I would recommend you use Sanctuary products instead.
