Good Points
Nice looking camera, compact. Easy to navigate controls
Bad Points
Where to start.
(1)Garbage pictures (grainy, soft, distorted). Only time it took nice pics was outside in broad daylight, forget about any decent pictures taken inside a house.
(2) XD card media..expensive, much slower than SD cards, harder to find than SD cards
General Comments
Well, if you want a camera that looks nice, then get this one. If you want to actually take pictures with it, pass it over. I owned a Fuji 4800Zoom prior to this, and the pics this older camera took BLEW AWAY any pics taken with the Z2....shameful.
I was possible to get 'ok' pictures if you cranked the exposure, lowered the ISO to 64 and then used Photoshop to brighten and despeckle...not exactly 'point and shoot'.
I retured this 3 weeks after I bought it and swapped it for a Nikon CoolPix S6...yes, more money, but what a difference! Pics taken (using all auto settings) at the highest settings on the S6 (6.0 MP fine) compared to the highest setting Z2 pics (5.0mp) --> No comparison. The Z2 was fuzzy and distorted, the S6 was crisp, clear and vivid.
Very disappointing as I have owned Fuji in the past and been very happy..this Z2, even for a compact camera is rubbish.
