Bad Points
Uses a lot of gas. Bed tie downs are hard to get at.
General Comments
I've only had the 2001 Dakota Club Cab for about four months now. But so far I haven't found anything wrong with it. It runs great and sounds solid. The gas mileage could be better, 15-19MPG for the V-6. And to get over 19, it would have to be mostly all freeway driving. The two tie downs Dodge has in front are hard to reach to tie a rope on them. They are under the bed with a small opening to get your fingers through. I bought a clamp to put on the tie downs and they work great. This truck also has loads of storage space inside. I have a full size center console that will hold almost anything. It has three cup holders. Two that are adjustable to the size of the container. An over head console to hold sun glasses, garage door opener.
Both doors have slots all the way across to put gobs of stuff. Back seats lift up to put small stuff under them and last but not least, the good old glove box. These are just places you can hide things out of sight. This truck also has three electrical recepticals. You can plug in a lap top computer, cell phone and light a cigar all at the same time.
It's a quiet truck with very lettle road or tire noise.
