General Comments
We've had BT Internet for several years, and we had little or no problem until we moved home. We kept the same exchange and the same number, but we could not connect to the internet after the move. I have spent hours and hours on the phone to BT's technical help department - the place seemed stuffed full of obsequious staff who are great at giving you the textbook answer from their training manual, but seems to be woefully short on staff who can actually grasp a problem and get it sorted.
In the end, after more than two months of trying to get connected, I've reluctantly parted company with BT. I have been patient, but enough is enough.
I want a provider who will provide sound technical support.

This seems strange same number same exchange but no connection at the new address they must have thought it was your fault. I had them around my place next day when I had a problem and was astonished at the excellence of the service. As for using another company never.
