“I once worked as a barman and this lad ordered a pint...”

★★★☆☆

Good Points
This drink, commonly known as a pint of "numbers" is fantastic if you are a binge drinker. It's ability to get you "mortal" drunk still surprises me to this very day. It's widely available now in most good supermarkets, off licenses and public hostelries. The brand is marketed positively and is a quality product.

Bad Points
I do find the after taste a little unpleasant if I'm honest and the actual taste of the lager itself, is too sharp. Kronenberg 1664 is the only intoxicating drink which makes me hoy the entire contents of my guts up onto the pavement. Thus I tend to avoid this particular beverage. Kronenberg is quite expensive too and should be avoided at all times.

General Comments
I once worked as a barman and this lad ordered a pint of "numbers" with a male colleague of mine. The barman who was working with me didn't respond to this chaps request. The customer, thinking he had a cool way of ordering his preferred tipple said "haven't you heard of a pint numbers before pal, what sort of barman are you?" The barman replied "yes I have, but we sell 80bob as well". Needless to say, the smile was wiped right off his face. Kronenburg is not a favourite of mine, but please drink responsibly folks.

Kronenberg 1664 is a top quality lager, and I still like to have a couple of jars on a Saturday night to get things going. I do however stress to the public not to top up your Kronenberg with Gold Label all night, as this will give you the worst hangover ever. A lesson learned by myself many years ago.
<br/>And in the words of Homer Simpson: "The only dangerous amount of alcohol, is none"!
