Good Points
very versatile. Good value for the money but with the same money you can buy a better camcorder

Bad Points
Recorded sound picks up motor noise.
With minimal use the monaural speaker no longer works on my camcorder

General Comments
I would not buy this Canon MV550i again if I was in the market for a new camcorder
