Good Points
Unlike my previous experiences with other retailers, I found John Lewis customer service staff to be polite and helpful. The delivery was well within the specified time, and they even managed to phone me on their way as I requested, which most retailers will refuse to do.

Bad Points
The only reason I have marked down their overall rating is because when I placed my order, I requested that it be delivered to an address other than the billing address. This option exists on the website and should therefore not be a problem.
However, 36 hours later I received an e-mail stating that my order had been cancelled. When I called them they explained that there had been a problem with the addresses, and I would have to place the order again. This time they took my payment details over the phone.
Lo and behold, 20 minutes later I got a phone call from my bank querying the transaction because of the address. Clearly there's some sort of glitch in their system, which they need to sort out.

General Comments
Overall I would certainly recommend John Lewis.



This is the only retailer so far from which I have received a satisfactory service, and I've ordered a lot of items requiring delivery over the years.
