drDubbelklick's review of Sennheiser HD 25 SP

“The Sennheiser HD 25 SP headphones are a very good can...”

Good Points
Easy to handle and rugged pair of headphones. They sound similar to HD280-Pro, but with slightly less emphasis on the bass. They can, like the 280s, be quite warm to wear during extended listening sessions, but the ear pads can easily be replaced by a velour pad.
I usually switch between the HD25 SP and the HD280 and am constantly discovering similarities and differences between the two.

Bad Points
Bass response could be a little better. I've listened to the big brother HD25, and they have a better bass response, but are almost twice as expensive. Supraural headphones need some time to get used to wearing, since they are applying pressure to the ears. At 85 ohms, they may need an amp to sound at its best.

General Comments
The Sennheiser HD 25 SP headphones are a very good can for people on the move. They can be folded flat for easy transport.
