Love The Garmin Nuvi 200 But The Other Day I Tried
Love the Garmin nuvi 200 but the other day I tried to use it for a journey of more than 200 miles. It could not calculate the journey. I contacted Garmin and they said it must be a fault and as it was outside the guarantee I would have to pay £50 for the repair. As it is the first time I have used it for this distance then it may well have been a fault when it was bought so I think it is unfair to ask for £50. Also when I was given it for a present I registered it and was told I was entitled to one free map upgrade. I followed the instructions online and loaded the maps. However, I have a message saying that the maps are over a year old and need to be updated. I again contacted Garmin and they told me that as the unit was registered more than 60 days after purchase (it was a present that was bought three months earlier) then the download of maps was outside the 60 days. How is this possible? Does it mean that the maps that come with the unit are out of date as the message says the maps are over one year out of date. Also if the maps that come with the unit are up to date why would they offer a free download within 60 days of purchase?
I am not at all happy with the company and will not buy any further sat navs from them. Would be pleased to hear from anyone who can reccommend a different one.

I Have Not Found A Fault For This Little Gadget.
I have not found a fault for this little gadget. So easy to use and accurate. So good I have just bought my father the 200W version.
