starxpy's review of Sony KD-28DX51U

“1 month of use but great results. I would point out...”

Good Points
Amazing looks. Glass stand / shelves
Price - £299 - Sainsbury's 7/04/06
Digital Tuner clarity and on screen TV guide.

Bad Points
Not much - but as with all CRT TV, it is bloody heavy. Help definitely needed and large box - goes without saying really - just be prepared.
They could have included more cables to get you started. The TV was supplied with .5 meter aerial cable and no scart cable.

General Comments
1 month of use but great results. I would point out that the very picky may notice slight purple blurs eminating from the sides of the screen where the speakers are housed. This indicates soso magnetic shielding. I would have expected Sony to be more on the ball but I would point out this is only noticable when viewing totally white images - salt lakes etc. To point out this is the only real niggle and for the price new @ £299 in Sainsburys worth it considering its almost a 50% saving the other prices I've seen.
