Good Points
fantastic quality photos and size (esp. compared to my prof. LSR), did break down after a year but was repaired, survived humid jungles, cold glaciers, hot deserts etc etc, still going after 4 years but with fits and starts. Amazed it lasted this long!

Bad Points
no zoom, dust in viewfinder worrying but pictures spotless

General Comments
Best and most convenient compact I ever owned (of many), I am about to buy another IXUS although this time with zoom. Sometimes quality equals that of my SLR which for me is no.1 reason not to go for cheaper APS models.
