Tropical Hotel Mauritius Review

Good Points
The hotel provided transfers to the nearby island called 'Il aux cerfs' three times a day for FREE. The food was quite good and the staff excellent.

Bad Points
The bedrooms need to be refurbished! They are not as nice as the hotel and holiday brochures would lead you to believe

General Comments
I chose to stay at the Tropical Hotel, Mauritius due to its proximity to the island of 'Il aux cerfs'. The bedrooms were a BIG disappointment. They were however clean and the bedlinen was changed daily. The rooms were well positioned facing the sea. Photos of the hotel are shown with good looking sand. What sand there was, was course, and there was a lot of seaweed. Despite these faults, our stay was most enjoyable. It is a small hotel, but despite its size, entertainment was put on every night. The hotel guests were quite and there were no children. The staff were super. There are many places in the world that I still want to see, but I am very tempted to return to this hotel despite its failures.
