Nikon 50 mm AFD f/1.8 Review

Good Points
Quite sharp even at full opening. Tack sharp from F2.8 up. Fast, light, cheap.

Bad Points
Virtually none (for the money)

General Comments
This lens is dirt-cheap, very lightstrong (very bright viewfinder view) and focuses fast and secure. Do not expect a full-metal bodied lens for this money, but even if you drop this lens, the worst thing that can happen is € 75 of damage.

When taking pictures in Norway of Rock drawings, it was very clear to me which photo's were taken with this lens, which photo's were taken with the Nikkor 18-35 and which photo's with the standars 28-80 kit zoom. This is the lens that made us decide to swap the kit lens for a quality zoom.
