General Comments
The Jaguar XJ8 3.2 is much better quality than my previous 1990 XJ6 4.0 manual - no trace of any leakages on the garage floor after 4 years and no consumption of any oils, fluids or coolant. Completely reliable apart from the front suspension wear which was barely detectable when driving but showed up at MOT time. No sign of premature bore wear - that other design defect so maybe now it's all ultralow sulphur petrol that effect no longer applies.
