Good Points
One of the less commercialised of the Canary Island resorts.

Bad Points
Poor public transport links

General Comments
Playa Blanca has retain some of its original charm and the centre is still authentically Spanish. A lot of building has meant this resort has expanded considerably over the past few years but it is still one of lesser commercialised resorts in the Canaries. Two good man made beaches and an extensive promenade is ideal for those wanting a long but easy walk. There are lots of restaurants here but they tend to veer away from the fast food types. We preferred the more traditional ones rather than those on the tourist trail. We can recommend Romantica (which is upmarket, smarter and more expensive) La Bochina (near the bus stop) and the family run run El Marisco. Nightlife is low key although are a few bars with live pub entertainment.
