Good Points
They are great cars they have very little or no rust on at all. they handle great and everything about them is good.
Bad Points
The only thing that lets them down is that the brakes are no that good but if u replace the brake and modify the brakes i cant see any problems at all
General Comments
Before i did a engine conversion I used to have a Peugeot 205 GRD diesel, for a diesel they are very nippy and extremely cheap to run and insure.
I have now changed the engine in it and added a 1.9 gti engine fitted with a nitros oxcide system and a K&N air filter, It gives it roughly 180 - 190 bhp. 0 - 60mph in about 5 seconds.
Doing this kind of modification is not cheap and is not insurance friendly, im 22 years old and i spend £3800 a year on insurance and over £100 a week on petrol, the car is fitted with a gti body kit 16" alloy wheels and lowered suspention along with other modifications to many to list. My advise would be if you are short on money get a clean 1.8 GRD diesel Peugeot 205 they are cheap to run and insure and can keep up to much bigger engined cars, later on if you can afford it get a bigger engine installed rather than buying a peugeot 1.9 or 1.6 gti because fitting a 1.9 gti engine in it is better because you get the added benifit of more room due to it being a 5 door but same amount of power. there are plenty of extras to add to peugeots below are afew web sites to look on.
