Good Points
Great image quality.
Good colour balance.
Manual override.
Good design.
Bad Points
Start up time is quite slow, and shutter lag is a problem when photographing spontaneous subjects.
General Comments
I am a professional photographer, and I switched over to digital some three years ago. I use Nikon digital SLR's for most of my work, but I use the trusty old Fuji Finepix S602 Pro for back up and candid shots at weddings etc. I have had this camera for three years, and it has been hammered by heavy usage, but it still delivers good quality images that I regularly have printed up to 10"x 8" and bigger, and on two occasions I have had 20"x 16" enlargements blown up from S602 files, and the results have been more than acceptable. OK so this has been with the help of a bit of interpolation with Photoshop, but never-the-less, very impressive for a camera of this level.
In conclusion, I would say that this is a great little camera, and far superior to the S7000 that superseded it. I have one of these as well, and in spite of it being 6MP as opposed to 3MP, I still prefer the S602 image quality.
