danrogy's review of Pirelli Diablo

“Really, there's nothing wrong with these tyres, but...”

Written on: 23/08/2005 by danrogy (6 reviews written)

Good Points
Very stable. Very predictable.

Bad Points
A bit nervous in corners. I was happy with them before I got something else.

General Comments
Really, there's nothing wrong with these tyres, but tyre technology jumps in leaps and bounds every year, and these aren't the latest and greatest. I had regular Diablos (there are a few different Diablos). They came stock on my Ducati Monster 620 (see review). I ride hard and try to be agressive in the corners, and in my opinion these tyres are nervous in the twisties. They lasted me well. I got about 6000 miles on them, and when I replaced them, they were so bald you could see the radial belts. I'm about to review Michelin Pilot Powers. They are what you want!
